Updating the Status of Project Tasks Based on the Status of Related Issues

After your project tasks are synced with Jira issues, when a Jira user moves a synced issue to another status, the related project task's status is automatically updated. This allows project managers to monitor the progress of project tasks linked to Jira issues directly from PSA.

The Status values defined for the issue in Jira are not directly copied to the project task in PSA. This is because Jira and PSA have different values for the respective Status fields. You can configure how Jira statuses are converted to PSA statuses for each project. For more information, see Customizing the Priority and Status Value Mappings.

If an error occurs while updating the status of a project task, the user specified in the Integration Hub Connector: Jira - PSA custom setting receives an email notification and a Foundations error message is created.
