Update RM-PSA Integration for Schedules

This Feature Console page updates the setup created by the Enabling Revenue Recognition for PSA feature. The updates allow you to generate recognition schedules for milestones, expenses, timecard splits, and miscellaneous adjustments.

When you enable this feature, lookups are added to the Recognition Schedule and Recognition Schedule Line objects and the existing recognition settings records are updated. See Metadata Changes when Updating the RM-PSA Integration for Recognition Schedules for full details.

Enabling this feature also updates the Revenue Management on PSA permission set, or creates it if it does not already exist. This permission set gives access to the fields that are created by this feature, and by the Enabling Revenue Recognition for PSA feature.

Before You Begin

Ensure that you have system administrator permissions before attempting to enable this feature. For more information about prerequisites, see Enabling and Disabling Features.

The following feature must be enabled in Feature Console:

  • Enabling Revenue Recognition for PSA

This is because the Update RM-PSA Integration for Schedules feature builds on the setup created by the Enabling Revenue Recognition for PSA feature.

Note:

The Enabling Revenue Recognition for PSA feature was re-engineered in Revenue Management Spring 2023. If the feature was enabled in an earlier version of Revenue Management, you cannot enable it again in this version. Regardless of which version of Revenue Management the feature was enabled in, you can use the Update RM-PSA Integration for Schedules feature to update the setup for recognition schedules.

Updating the RM-PSA Integration for Recognition Schedules

To enable the Update RM-PSA Integration for Schedules feature, work through the steps in the order shown on screen. When a step has completed, its Status changes from "Not Done" to "Done".

  1. For feature step 1, click Perform. This step creates lookups to the PSA objects, and updates the existing recognition settings records to support recognition schedules
  2. For feature step 2, click Perform. This step updates the page layout for Recognition Schedule to include lookups to the PSA objects.
  3. For feature step 3, click Perform. This step updates the page layout for Recognition Schedule Line to include lookups to the PSA objects.

When you have completed all the steps, use the Status slider in the Feature section to mark the feature as enabled.

Next Steps

  • Add a Recognition Schedule Lines related list to the page layout for the PSA Project object. This enables you to view a list of recognition schedule lines related to a project.
  • Assign the Revenue Management on PSA permission set to users needing to view and edit the fields that are created by this feature. The fields are listed in Metadata Changes when Updating the RM-PSA Integration for Recognition Schedules.
