Inventory Locations Home
- In the View section, select an appropriate list view from the drop-down list to go directly to that list page, or click Create New View to define your own custom list view. List views let you display a list of records that match specific criteria.
- In the Recent section, select an item from the drop-down list on the right to display a brief list of the top records matching that criteria. The choices are listed in the table that follows.
- From the list, you can click any inventory location name to go directly to its detail.
- Click New to create a new inventory location.

Each warehouse contains the following standard locations which to support the day-to-day activities of the warehouse:
- Receiving
- Receiving Inspection
- Shipping
- WIP Work in Progress. This is a standard inventory location in Order and Inventory Management. Items stored in this location are undergoing a manufacturing process to turn them into finished goods to send to a customer.
The inventory locations tab contains records of the physical locations in a warehouse where inventory items can be stored. Depending on the options your administrator has chosen, you can describe warehouse inventory locations down to five levels deep to locate the whereabouts of the individual items in your inventory Stock. Products or services that are available to buy or items that form part of a product or service. Where the item is tangible such as hardware, that item may be held in a warehouse as stock, or ordered directly from a supplier when a customer places an order.. For instance:

- Shelf
- Bin
Each inventory location belongs to a warehouse, which in turn belongs to an inventory control point (ICP Inventory Control Point. A distribution center or place around the globe that inventory items are controlled from. An ICP may have one or more warehouses.). You can also activate and deactivate locations in a warehouse. For instance, if the space in your warehouse needs to be temporarily re-configured so that there is space for a seasonal item.
