Skills and Certification Fields

Here is a description of the fields on a skills/certification record. Skills and certifications are separate objects but contain the same fields.

Skill / Certification Detail

Key:
* – Mandatory field.
R – Read-only.

Field     Description
Certification     Document relating to a status or a level of achievement.
Currency *   Default currency for this record.
Description     Text description of this skill or certification.
Group     Picklist of groups. You can customize this picklist by editing the page layout.
Record Type   R  
Skill     An ability, proficiency, or expertise, in a subject area.
Skill or Certification   O Determines whether this record is a skill or a certification. Certain PSA behavior was previously based on this field. This behavior is now based on the Record Type field.
Skill/Certification Name *   Name of the skill or certification. For example, Java, or Project Management.
Type *   Used for grouping purposes on the Skills Capacity and Skills Matrix pages. You can customize this picklist by editing the page layout.
Unique Name     Unique skill name.

Certification Details

Field Description
Certification Source Organization or institution that grants this certification. You can customize this picklist by editing the page layout.
