Information Fields

Field   Description
User * A lookup for the name of the user being granted permissions.
Cascading Permission   Indicates whether the permissions are to be extended to the children of the selected regionClosedA level of hierarchy used in PSA to which other objects belong such as resources, opportunities and projects.,practiceClosedA level of hierarchy used in PSA to which other objects belong such as resources, opportunities and projects.,projectClosedA collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets., or groupClosedA level of hierarchy used in PSA to which other objects belong such as resources, opportunities and projects.. Permissions set for individual resources cannot cascade.
Start/End Date   Inclusive time period for the permissions to be applied. You can leave blank for perpetual permissions or leave one field blank for a one-sided range of perpetual permissions (for example, permissions with a defined start date and no defined end date).
Resource M In most cases the user and the resourceClosedA contact that works on a project. are the same person. If your organization uses external resources, and you want to set up a proxy user (a user who can enter information on behalf of a resource) to enter their timecards and expenses, this field should contain the name of the external resource.
Region/ Practice/ Group M Grants permission to access all resources and objects within the RPGClosedAbbreviation of region, practice, group..
Project M Project to apply permissions to.
Team   Team to which permissions apply.

Permissions Fields

Field   Description
Billing   Indicates whether the user has permissions to generate and release billing events belonging to a specific RPGClosedAbbreviation of region, practice, group. or project and to edit billing related fields such as the Billed and Billing Event Item checkboxes.
Expense Entry   Indicates whether the user has permissions to enter and edit expenses for the defined resources.
Expense Ops Edit   Indicates whether the user has permissions to edit expenses in admin mode for the defined resources after they have been approved but before they have been billed. See About Ops Edit Permission Controls.
Invoicing   Indicates whether the user has permissions to edit Invoicing-related fields on a project's business records such as the Invoiced checkbox, Invoice Date and Invoice Number.
Project Task Gantt Edit   Indicates whether the selected user can use Project Task Gantt and Gantt in edit mode when the user is not the project manager of the selected project. Granting Project Task Gantt Edit permissions includes Project Task Gantt View permissions.
Project Task Gantt View   Indicates whether the selected user can use Project Task Gantt and Gantt in read-only mode when the user is not the project manager of the selected project.
Resource Request Entry   Indicates whether the user has permissions to enter or edit Resource Requests for a RPGClosedAbbreviation of region, practice, group. other than the user's own.
Skills And Certifications Entry   Indicates whether the user has permissions to enter skills and certifications for the defined resources. Granting Skills and Certifications Entry permissions automatically include Skills and Certifications View permissions.
Skills And Certifications View   Indicates whether the user has permissions to view skills and certifications for the defined resources.
Staffing   Indicates whether the user has permissions to staff resources on the specified regionClosedA level of hierarchy used in PSA to which other objects belong such as resources, opportunities and projects., practiceClosedA level of hierarchy used in PSA to which other objects belong such as resources, opportunities and projects., groupClosedA level of hierarchy used in PSA to which other objects belong such as resources, opportunities and projects., or project. Team Edit   Indicates the user has permissions to edit the indicated team in Team Schedule Planner.
Team View   Indicates the user can use Team Schedule Planner in read-only mode for the selected team.
Timecard Entry   Indicates whether the user has permissions to enter or edit timecards for the defined resources.
