Swapping Assignments and Held Resource Requests

To manage changes to project schedules in Resource and Project Planners, you can swap resources on:

• Assignments
• Held resource requests

Note:

Your administrator is able to determine whether users can swap assignments with a start date set in the past. For more information, see Restrict Swapping Past Dates in Resource and Project Planners Settings and Preferences.

You cannot swap:

• Assignments with associated timecards or expenses.
• Resources on unheld resource requests.

To swap a resource on an assignment or held resource request:

1. In Resource and Project Planners, select an assignment or resource request.
2. Click Swap Resource.
3. Select a resource from the New Resource drop-down In the Swap Assignment dialog.
4. Click Swap.
5. Click Save.
