Creating Project Versions and Baselines

Your administrator must assign you the Project Version Create permission control to create project baselines and versions.
By default, you can create records on a version in batches of 500. Your administrator can change the batch size in the Project Versioning Global Settings custom setting. Setting the batch size higher than 500 can potentially lead to batch creation failures and is not advised.

To create a project baselineClosedA static data capture of the original or re-planned project against which changes are compared. or project versionClosedA read-only data capture of the project in a particular moment in time.:

  1. On the Project page, click New Project Version.
  2. Complete the fields described in Create Project Version Fields.
  3. Click Create.
