Creating a Link Control Publication

Link control publications and subscriptions enable you to ensure that the data is transferred between your applications reliably.

A link control publication is a special type of publication that enables a subscribing application to confirm that it received a message. You can create a link control publication for a declarative subscription from the Subscription Detail page of a registered product.

To create a link control publication:

1. Click the Registered Products tab in the Foundations Administration app.
2. Click the name of the product for which you are creating a link control publication.
3. In the Subscriptions related list, click the name of the subscription for which you are creating a link control publication.
4. Click New Publication in the Link Control Publications related list.
5. Enter the link control developer name.
6. Enter a message type.
7. Complete the remaining fields. For information about publication fields, see Publication Fields.
8. Click Save.

Note:

A link control publication is always created for an existing subscription. If you did not set a link control developer name when you created your declarative subscription, you will have to set it when you create the link control subscription.
