Contact Card Lightning Component Overview
The PSA Contact Card Lightning component is available for the Resource Request record page.
For more information about our Lightning components, including adding them to your Resource Request record page, and configuring them, see PSA Lightning Components Overview.
For information about the default fields in this component, see Contact Card Lightning Component Fields.
The PSA Contact Card enables you to view information about a resource. For example, a resource's skills, certifications, and ratings that match any skills or certifications selected in the Resource Filter, and any fields that have been configured on their contact record.
The PSA Contact Card component also enables you to view details of assignments and resource requests for a selected resource that fall fully or partially within the date range selected in the Resource Filter.
Additional Fields
You can add additional read-only fields to a field set on the Contact object, and select this field set to display these fields in the PSA Contact Card component. For more information, see Contact Field Sets and Customizing PSA Lightning Components.
By default, no field set is selected in App Builder, and therefore contact fields do not display by default in the PSA Contact Card. When the PSA Contact Card is added to a Resource Request record page, the name of the resource and an image of the contact if present on the Salesforce user record is displayed. To view any additional lookup fields that you add to the PSA Contact Card component from a Contact field set, you must also add these lookup fields to your Contact record page layout.
Viewing Resource Skills and Ratings
The PSA Contact Carddisplays matching skills and skill ratings that a resource has, as filtered in the Resource Filter component. To view skills on the PSA Contact Card, one or more skills must be included in the Resource filter. If Match Any skills is selected, at least one skill must be matched at the specified rating for the skill. You do not necessarily see all the skills for a resource, only those that match the filter.
When you have not filtered on any skills in the Resource filter, skills, certifications, and ratings are not displayed on the PSA Contact Card.
Viewing Assignments and Resource Requests
By default, both assignments and resource requests that fall fully or partially within the date range selected in the Resource Filter are displayed on the Resource Details tab for the selected resource on the Resource Request Lightning record page. If you do not want resource requests to be displayed, you can configure the PSA Contact Card component in the Lightning App Builder to hide them.
Also displayed by default is the amount of time the resource is required to work on these assignments and resource requests as a percentage of their working time. This is calculated based on the resource's work calendar and the date range selected in the Resource Filter. If preferred, you can configure the PSA Contact Card component to display the scheduled time in hours. This is calculated based on the assignment or resource request's schedule and the date range selected in the Resource Filter.
A summary bar is displayed, showing the hours that are available for scheduling, the assigned hours, and the held hours for the selected resource's assignments and resource requests within the filtered date range.
If you want useful information to be displayed when you hover over an assignment or a resource request on the Resource Details tab, you can configure the PSA Contact Card component to show the fields you need. For more information on the relevant field sets, see Assignment Field Setsand Resource Request Field Sets.
