Resource Filter Lightning Component Overview

The configuration options available in PSA are not considered when using this Lightning component to filter resources.

To use this component, you need the appropriate permissions. For more information, see Resource Request Lightning Page and Component Permissions.

To use this component, you must first enable the Resource Request Lightning Page in Feature Console. For more information, see Enabling Resource Request Page Updates. You can also create your own resource request Lightning page and add this component to it. For more information, see Adding PSA Custom Lightning Components to a Lightning Record Page.

You can filter resources by name, role, region, practice, group, skills and ratings, and resources who have worked with a customer, and also additional fields you choose from the Contact record.

You can also filter to include sub-regions, sub-practices, and sub-groups.

The Start and End Date fields cannot be removed. For information on the fields available on this component, see Resource Filter Lightning Component Fields.

You can add standard and custom fields for a number of field types from the Contact object to the Resource filter and use these fields to filter resources. For example, you can use a text field type to do a search containing particular characters, or use a number field type to do a search equal to a numeric value you want to find. We have not specified any default values for the custom fields you might want to add to the Resource filter. We only support fields directly related to the Contact object.
