Important Considerations
When creating Localization reports there are some important considerations to be aware of.
All Countries
Data is retrieved for all companies with the same ISO country code. Use the Values field to select the company you want to see data for.
Denmark
If you are upgrading from Fall 2021 to Winter 2022, to use the Trial Balance Extract for XBRL report, you must complete some specific upgrade steps. For more information, see Financial Report Builder (FRB) Users Upgrading to Winter 2022.
France
- The report can include columns that do not appear in the statement generated in Financial Statements. If you export from Financial Report Builder, ensure the columns included are appropriate for the tax regulations in your country.
- In order to view the report correctly, with all GLAs mapped to their respective reporting categories, you must go to General Ledger Accounts in FinancialForce Accounting and ensure there are local balance sheet values selected for all GLAs.
Germany
Fall 2021
If you use the eBilanz-Online tool, which requires an XLS file format, follow the steps below:
- Go to Financial Report Builder and click the report name of your file.
- Click | Export CSV.
- Open the CSV in Excel.
- Delete all rows that appear above the row that contains the column headers. The row that includes the column header titles must be row one of the file.
- Check the decimal value separator present in the CSV is still present in the XLS.
- Translate to German the following column headers in the XLS file:
- General Ledger Account Name
- Reporting Code
- Value
- Click Save.
The XLS file is now ready to upload to your chosen E-Bilanz program. For more information, see E-Bilanz Report.
Winter 2022
If you use the eBilanz-Online tool, which requires an XLS file format, follow the steps below:
- Go to Financial Report Builder and click the report name of your file.
- Click | Export.
- In the Title field, ensure the title of the document is correct.
- In the Format field select CSV.
- In the Report Details field select Data Tables Only.
- Click Download.
- Open the CSV in Excel.
- Ensure that no rows appear above the row including the column headers. The row that includes the column header titles must be row one of the file.
- Check the decimal value separator present in the CSV is still present in the XLS.
- Translate to German the following column headers in the XLS file:
- General Ledger Account Name
- Reporting Code
- Value
- Click Save.
The XLS file is now ready to upload to your chosen E-Bilanz program. For more information, see E-Bilanz Report.
Adding Local General Ledger Accounts
When generating the E-Bilanz report, if you want to include the local general ledger accounts you can add a new dimension column to the report.
This means that if you have subsidiaries in Germany, you can benefit from this enhancement introduced in Spring 2022. Previously, this functionality was only available if you were using corporate general ledger accounts.
- Go to Financial Report Builder and click the report name of your file.
- Above the table click | Dimension Columns.
- Click Add Columns.
- In the Dimension search field enter

Spain
