Resourcing Lightning Component Overview

Notes:

The configuration options available in PSA are not considered when using this Lightning component.

To use this component, you need the appropriate permissions. For more information, see Resource Request Lightning Page and Component Permissions.

To use this component, you must first enable the Resource Request Lightning Page in Feature Console. For more information, see Enabling Resource Request Page Updates. You can also create your own resource request Lightning page and add this component to it. For more information, see Adding PSA Custom Lightning Components to a Lightning Record Page.

This component lists the resources with the fields Is Resource and Is Resource Active set to true on their contact records. A maximum of 200 records are returned. Irrespective of any applied filter criteria, assigned or held and suggested resources are automatically sorted and displayed at the top of the list. Other resources returned in the list are sorted by their availability as a percentage.

The following fields display by default as sortable columns in the Resourcing component:

You cannot remove Resource Name, Status, or % Availability columns.

You need permission to read:

Columns you do not have read permission for are excluded with the exception of Availability and Status. Availability and Status columns display without any data when you do not have permission.

The Candidate Type column is only displayed if the current resource request has the Allow Candidates to Self-Nominate checkbox selected. Self-Nominated is displayed in this column for resources who have expressed an interest in the corresponding resource request. For more information, see Work Opportunities Hub Overview, Managing Self-Nominations for Work Opportunities, and Expressing Interest in Upcoming Work Opportunities.

Tip:

If a self-nominated resource is not visible because a maximum of 200 records can be returned, consider adding a Candidates related list to the page layout. This will show all related resources that have a candidate record, so that you can view a list of all self-nominated resources for the resource request.

Non-filterable fields do not appear as columns. For example, an encrypted field such as Contact Name.

For information about the available fields on this component, see Resourcing Lightning Component Fields.

You can add the following field types as columns in the Resourcing component:

For more information about adding your own columns, see Customizing the Resourcing Component Columns.
