Posting CRV Groups and Documents

To post an "In Progress" CRV group or document, click Post, either during the create document process, or later on the group or document detail pages.

When you decide to post, a confirmation dialog is displayed. To continue:

  1. Enter an optional currency revaluation group description. If you leave this blank, the group description will default to <Your Name>-<Revaluation Type>-<Date>. For example, Jack Griffin-Balance Sheet-08/22/2013.
    This description is used as the name of the resulting batch job, and so it must be unique.
  2. If you want the process to include all currencies in your org, irrespective of whether they are used or not, clear the Ignore Unused Currencies checkbox.
  3. When you are ready, click Post to confirm.

This initiates a batch job. The description, the either one entered on the confirm dialog or automatically generated, is used as the name of the batch job. You are notified of the success or failure of this operation. To monitor the batch job, from Setup click Monitoring | Apex Jobs.

If successful, the transactions are generated for the selected period. If you specified a reversal period, transactions are also generated for the reversal period. The posted documents are now "Complete" and can no longer be edited or discarded.
