Creating a Playbook

To create a new playbook:

  1. Click Create Playbook on the Customer Success Workspace or relevant record page.
  2. Select Create New Playbook.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Enter a name for the new playbook.
  5. [Optional] Enter an account, start date and a description for the playbook. If you leave the start date blank, it defaults to today.
  6. [Optional] To upload an image to the playbook description, click .
  7. Click Create.
    Note:

    When creating a playbook from the workspace, the playbook is automatically marked as Active.

    When creating a playbook from the Account record page, the Account field is auto-populated with the account you are currently on.

To create a playbook from a template:

  1. Click Create Playbook on the Customer Success Workspace or relevant record page.
  2. Select Create Playbook from Template.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the template you want to use.
  5. Click Next.
  6. [Optional] Deselect the tasks that you don't want to copy to the new playbook.
  7. Click Next.
  8. [Optional] If the template contains a team, deselect the team members that you don't want to copy to the new playbook.
  9. Click Next.
  10. [Optional] Update the name for the new playbook.
  11. [Optional] Enter an account, start date and a description for the playbook. If you leave the start date blank, it defaults to today. If you do not enter an account or description, they default from the template.
  12. [Optional] To upload an image to the playbook description, click .
  13. Click Create.
Notes:

When selecting a template, only playbooks with the Active and Template checkboxes selected are displayed.

When creating a playbook from a template, a team is created for the playbook with the current user as the team owner.

If the template includes a team, you must have a contact record linked to your Salesforce user to copy the team to the new playbook.

To create a new playbook template:

  1. Click Create Playbook Template on the Customer Success Workspace or relevant record page.
  2. Select Create New Playbook Template.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Enter a name for the new playbook template.
  5. [Optional] Enter an account, start date and a description for the playbook. If you leave the start date blank, it defaults to today.
  6. [Optional] To upload an image to the playbook description, click .
  7. Click Create.

To create a playbook template from a template:

  1. Click Create Playbook Template on the Customer Success Workspace or relevant record page.
  2. Select Create Playbook Template from Template.
  3. Click Next.
  4. Select the template you want to use.
  5. Click Next.
  6. [Optional] Deselect the tasks that you don’t want to copy to the new playbook template.
  7. Click Next.
  8. [Optional] If the template contains a team, deselect the team members that you don’t want to copy to the new playbook template.
  9. Click Next.
  10. [Optional] Update the name for the new playbook template.
  11. [Optional] Enter an account, start date and a description for the playbook. If you leave the start date blank, it defaults to today. If you do not enter an account or description, they default from the template.
  12. [Optional] To upload an image to the playbook description, click .
  13. Click Create.
