Enabling the True-Up RRT to Journal Integration

This Feature Console page updates Revenue Management so that you can create FinancialForce Accounting journals from revenue recognition transactions created by the true-up process. The journals are created in Accounting with the journal type "Revenue Recognition True Up Journal".

The following Feature Console features must be enabled before you can enable the True-Up RRT to Journal Integration:

  1. Accounting - Journal Integration with Return Data. For details, see Enabling the Journal Integration with Return Data.
  2. Revenue Management - RRT to Journal Integration. For details, see Enabling the RRT to Journal Integration.
  3. Revenue Management - RRT to Journal Integration for Cost. For details, see Enabling the RRT to Journal Integration for Cost.
  4. Revenue Management - Summarized RRT to Journal Integration. For details, see Enabling the Summarized RRT to Journal Integration.

When the above features are enabled, you can enable the True-Up RRT to Journal Integration:

  1. For feature step 1, click Perform. This step checks that the Summarized RRT to Journal Integration feature (and therefore all its prerequisite features) are enabled.
  2. For feature step 2, click Perform. This step updates the messaging between Revenue Management and Accounting so that journals can be created from true-up revenue recognition transactions, and from summarized true-up revenue recognition transactions.

When a step has completed, its Status changes from "Not Done" to "Done".

When you have completed all the steps, use the Status slider in the Feature section to mark the feature as enabled.

Upgrades Only: Check Accounting Journal Types

Check that all the steps in the Accounting - Journal Integration with Return Data feature are "Done". One of the steps updates picklist values in the Type field on the Accounting Journal object. The "Revenue Recognition True Up Journal" picklist value is required by the True-Up RRT to Journal Integration.
