Creating a Bank Format Definition

We recommend that you read and understand What is a Bank Format Definition? before creating any definition records.

To create the top-level bank format definition record:

  1. Click the Bank Format Definitions tab.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a short, descriptive, meaningful and unique name for this record.
  4. Enter a unique external ID. For more information, see Choosing an External ID.
  5. [Optional] Make suitable choices from the checkboxes as required. These are described in Bank Format Definition Fields.
  6. Click Save.

Now you can create the first bank definition record type, such as a "Header" record type.
