Moving Items

To Move inventory items from one location in the warehouse to another location in the same warehouse:

  1. Do one of the following:
    • Click Available Inventory on the item master of the item to be moved.
    • Search for the item on the Inventory tab.
  2. Select the checkbox of the inventory to be moved.
  3. Click Move.
  4. Enter the number of the item to be moved in the Quantity to Change field.
  5. Enter a reason for moving the item
  6. Select a location to move the items to.

    7. Note:

    Parts that are in Receiving, Receiving Inspection or Shipping cannot be moved. If you select a location such as Receiving, or Receiving Inspection, you will not be able to move the item back from those locations without following the correct workflow for that location.

  7. [Optional] Enter some additional information about the move in the Comments field.
  8. Click Save.
