Work Planner Lightning Component Fields
The following Work Planner Lightning components include the fields and buttons described:
- Line Manager Work Planner
- Project Manager Work Planner
- Resource Work Planner
- Work Planner (on the Work Planner Lightning page provided by Certinia or added to a custom Lightning page by your administrator)
- Work Planner in Experience Cloud sites.
For all the lookup fields, you can also click Show All Results for “ ”. The search lookup window opens with the searched string populated in the Search field and displays all related items in the grid.
Select the item from the grid that you want and click Select. The selected item is then displayed in the lookup field. For more information, see Using Advanced Lookup.

The name of the resource, project, region, practice, or group, depending on the grouping option selected from the toolbar. When grouping by region, practice, or group, PSA displays the relevant RPG Abbreviation of region, practice, group. name and uses the following criteria in the order shown to determine an assignment or resource request record’s RPG:
If there is no RPG set on any of the above, a grouping called No Region, No Practice, or No Group is displayed in this column as appropriate. |
Project | G | The project associated with the assignment or resource request. Displayed when grouping by resource. |
Resource | G | The name of the resource on the associated assignment or resource request. Displayed when grouping by project. |
Total Hrs | G |
The total number of hours on the schedule for the associated assignment or resource request. This column is automatically updated whenever you edit a value in the grid or when the relevant schedule records are changed. Also displayed in the Current Scheduled Hours field when hovering over an assignment or resource request in the Name column. |
Buttons

Reloads the relevant Work Planner component. This is useful if, for example, assignments or resource requests are created after you loaded the page, or if you have made a change in a different tab. If you have not yet saved changes you have made, this button enables you to return to the last saved state. |

Line Manager Work Planner and Work Planner for resource managers default to Resource. Project Manager Work Planner and Resource Work Planner default to Project. |
Zoom Level |
Changes the view between days, weeks, months, quarters, and years. The zoom level you set is retained if you use the same browser on the same device. |

Shows details of the selected assignment, project, resource, or resource request on the relevant tab of the Record Details panel. |

Filters the display. Click to open and close the panel. The panel stays open until you close it. It is also used to display assignment details, project details, resource details, and resource request details. This means you can set filters easily and click through other items on the work planner to quickly view information about them. Selected filters are retained if you use the same browser on the same device. |

The filter panel contains the following fields.

Filter Buttons
The filter panel contains the following buttons.

Apply | Updates the contents of the work planner using the filter criteria specified. | |
Reset | Returns the filter criteria to the default values. | |
| Save As | Opens the Save Filter window, where you can save your own filters with a unique name. | |
| Save | Enables you to save your filter after making updates or modifications. Click this button when you have finished updating your saved filter and want to save the changes. | |
Enables you to manage the saved filter sets that you have created. You have the following options available:

Preferences Fields
The Preferences panel contains the following fields.

Less Than | Resources with an allocation less than this percentage value are under allocated. | |
Greater Than | Resources with an allocation greater than this percentage value are over allocated. | |
Planned Allocation Range | The optimal percentage range of time that a resource is allocated. | |
Use Cell Shading | When selected, the grid cells are colored instead of using the graphics to indicate each resource's allocation status. | |
Use Utilization Target |
When selected, each resource's utilization target is used with the allocation percentages to calculate the resource's allocation status. For more information, see Allocation Thresholds Including the Utilization Target. |
Preferences Buttons
The Preferences panel contains the following buttons.
