Creating Change Requests

When you create a change request, the values of custom fields on the contract are copied to the change request and the values of custom fields belonging to related contract line items are copied to the change request line items.

You can only create a change request for an active contract that does not already have a change request in progress.
If a change request line item is related to a contract line item that has been billed and the Billed To field of the change request line item contains a date, you can only change the End Date of that line. In this situation, you can only enter an End Date that is on or after the Billed To date of that line.

To create a change request from a contract:

  1. Click Create Change Request on the Billing Contract Detail page of the active contract that you want to change.
  2. Edit the change request in the same way as a draft contract. See Editing Contracts.
  3. [Optional] If you need to refer back to the active contract, click Related Contract.
  4. Click Save.

To edit the change request, click Edit and edit it in the same way as an ordinary contract.

To cancel the change request, delete it:

  1. Click Delete.
  2. When the confirmation message appears, click Delete.

Salesforce

  1. Click Create Change Request on the Billing Contract Detail page of the active contract you want to create a change request for.
  2. Click Create Change Request.

To edit the change request, click Edit and edit it in the same way as an ordinary contract.
