Creating a Link Control Subscription

Link control publications and subscriptions enable you to ensure that the data is transferred between your applications reliably.

A link control subscription is a special type of subscription that enables a publishing application to receive confirmation that a message it sent was received. You can create a link control subscription for a declarative publication from the Publication Detail page of a registered product.

To create a link control subscription:

  1. Click the Registered Products tab in the Foundations Administration app.
  2. Click the Product Name of the product for which you are creating a link control subscription.
  3. In the Publications related list, click the name of the publication for which you are creating a link control subscription.
  4. Click New Subscription in the Link Control Subscriptions related list.
  5. Enter the link control developer name.
  6. Enter the message type.
  7. Complete the remaining fields. For information about subscription fields, see Subscription Fields.
  8. Click Save.

    A link control subscription is always created for an existing declarative publication. If you did not set a link control developer name when you created your publication, you will have to set it when you create the link control subscription.
