Managing Allocation Templates
You can create allocation templates in single-company mode and in multi-company mode. In multi-company mode, your current companies must include the companies you intend to use in the template, and they must share the same dual currency. An allocation template created in multi-company mode cannot be loaded in single-company mode, and vice versa.
Creating an Allocation Template
The easiest way to create an allocation template is to enter the details on the Allocation pages and when you have finished, click Save in the Allocation Template Bar to save all the details as an allocation template before posting the allocation for the first time.
Alternatively, you can create an allocation template from the Allocation Templates home page or list view:
- Select the Allocation Templates tab.
- Click New on the Allocation Templates home page or click New Allocation Template from the list view. The Allocation pages are displayed.
- On all pages, complete the details you want to save in a template.
- Click Save in the Allocation Template Bar.
- Enter a name and description for the template and click Save.
Loading an Allocation Template
To load an allocation template from the Allocation pages:
- Choose the template from the Select Template field.

To load an allocation template from the Allocation Templates list view, click the template you want to load and the template details are displayed on the Allocation pages.
Editing an Allocation Template
To edit an allocation template from the Allocation Templates list view:
- Click Edit next to the template you want to change.
- The Retrieve Source page in the allocations process is displayed, completed with the details from the template.

Deleting an Allocation Template
