About Timecard Splits

Timecard splits allow part of a timecardA mechanism for logging time against a project or an assignment. to be billed when that timecard spans the boundary of a time periodA period of time with a start date and an end date to which forecasts, actuals calculations, billing event batches, utilization calculations and region plans belong.. A timecard split represents a whole timecard or part of a timecard. Timecard splits are automatically generated when you log a timecard. One or two timecard split objects are created depending on whether the timecard spans more than one time period. For instance, if you enter a timecard for the last week in quarter three and the last day of that quarter falls on a Wednesday, it is likely that two timecard splits will be created: one timecard split will contain the hours for quarter three and the will other contain the hours for quarter four.
