Cloning a Rebate

You can clone a rebate and its lines in one action using the Clone Rebate button. This creates a copy of the rebate and its lines with the status new.

Note: Notes Notepad icon
This is different from the Salesforce Clone button, which does not clone the rebate lines. If the Clone Rebate button is not displayed, you administrator may need to add the button to your page layout.
When you clone a rebate, the new rebate is displayed immediately with the new rebate Id. The rebate is created with a status of New regardless of the status of the rebate that you are cloning. To activate a cloned rebate, you must submit it for approval.

To clone a rebate:

  1. Select the Rebate Name of the rebate you want to clone on the Rebates tab.
  2. Click Clone Rebate.
  3. If required, edit the details of the new rebate and its lines. For information about the fields, see Rebate Fields.

To activate the new rebate, you must submit it for approval. To do so, click Submit for Approval.

Note: Note Notepad icon
The default approval process approves the rebate when you submit it for approval, Your organization may have created a specific approval process for rebates that requires more steps than described here.
