Sending Customer Statements
You can use the Customer Statements section on the Collections pages to send statements to your customers. The Statements section shows the statement rule for the selected company and the number of statements that are due to be sent. You can click on the number of statements to be sent to view details of the accounts that have statements to send.
If you have multiple companies in your org you can send statements from each of those companies. On the Collections home page, your current company is selected by default. You can select another company to view the customer statements to be sent for that company.
To send customer statements:
- Click the Collections tab. The Customer Statements section displays the statement rule and the number of statements that are due to be sent.
- [Optional] If you have multiple companies in your org, you can select the company that you want to send customer statements from. The selected company defaults to your current company. You can choose an alternative company from the Company list.
- [Optional] Click To Send to view a list of the customer statements that are due to be sent. You can review the accounts that statements are to be sent for. To exclude an account from the customer statement process, clear the Selected checkbox.
- Click Send. A status bar displays the progress of the statement process. A message also displays. Click View Customer Statements to see details of customer statement process.
If you exclude accounts from the customer statements process, those accounts are still available to have statements sent. The To Send column includes the number of accounts that were excluded. For example, if you have 500 statements to send and you exclude 10 accounts, when you run the statements process, the Sent column displays 490 and the To Send column displays 10.
If you have errors, the number of errors displays in the Customer Statements section. You can click the error number to view details of the errors. For more information, see Customer Statement Logs.
