Automatically Synchronizing Records

You can create ClickLink rules that automatically update target records when the source record changes. You can specify which field mappings you want to synchronize.

You can also synchronize records at line level. This allows you to add new lines on the source record and add new lines on the target record automatically. When using synchronization, lines are updated or deleted on the target object when they are updated or deleted on the source object.

Note:

You can only synchronize target records that were created by a ClickLink rule. You cannot automatically synchronize records you created manually.

If you delete source records that are synchronized with a target record, the target record and any child records that it contains are not deleted.

If synchronization is enabled for a rule, that rule must contain a mapping with the Source Sync field set to Id and the Source Sync checkbox selected.

For synchronization to occur on detail rules, you must select Sync Enabled in both the master and detail rules.

When synchronization is enabled in rules where the Source Object field contains the same value, the Target Relation with Source field must be set to None in each of those rules.
