Working with the Edit Assignments Panel

Use the edit assignments panel to view and change schedules for assignments and held resource requestsClosed A resource request with a status of “held” and a schedule. The Resource field is populated.. If a resource does not have a specified work calendar while editing assignments, Resource and Project Planners creates a temporary work calendar using a 40-hour work week starting on Sunday. The Edit Assignments panel automatically closes once you save changes.

Daily Notes Add and remove daily notes for assignments.
Resource Requests
  • View scheduled hours for held resource requests.
  • Adjust scheduled hours for the preferred schedule on the held resource request.
Schedule Exceptions

Apply and create exceptions to the schedule pattern, for all or part of the duration of the assignment.

Note:

If you extend an assignment containing a schedule exception and the extended assignment contains a new schedule exception in the range of the assignment, Planners applies certain behavior if you simultaneously apply a new schedule pattern to the assignment. Any existing schedule exceptions in the initial assignment are overwritten while schedule exceptions in the extended assignment are honored.

View Assignments
  • View all assignments for the resource or project.
  • View daily and weekly total scheduled hours for all assignments, either worked by a resource or created against a project.
