Searching

Note:

When Shield Platform Encryption is enabled in your org, you must be as specific as possible when searching for a resource name to ensure that resources are found. See Shield Platform Encryption for more information.

Use a combination of the following to search for a task:

  • Enter text in the Search Tasks field to narrow the displayed tasks based on the text you enter. If you want to view tasks that have been assigned to you or to a specific role, enter your name or the role in the Search Tasks field.
    Tip:

Search results may not be returned if you enter only a few characters in this field. We recommend you use meaningful names for project tasks and search for several characters or whole words.

To search for project tasks assigned to a particular resource, type the name of that resource. Type the name of a resource or role, or a portion of it for that role.

  • Scroll the timeline using the Navigation buttons.
  • Change the zoom level of the Schedule pane so that all tasks fit.
  • Change the zoom level of the Schedule pane to show years and months, months and weeks, or weeks and days.
  • Sort tasks by their column heading in ascending or descending order.
  • Click Locate to bring the selected task into view.
