Timecards

Completing a timecardA mechanism for logging time against a project or an assignment. is the way to book time against projects. To be able to book time to a projectA collection of activities and related items to be managed over a defined time range, such as timecards, expenses, milestones and budgets., that project must be created in the system and resources assigned to it. If you have permissions to do so you can:

When you submit a timecard, some transaction records are created to allow the information to be rolled-up to assignments and milestones. If your administrator has configured the system to do so, an automatic email is sent to users with permission to approve the timecard.

When a timecard is approved, the numbers are rolled up to RPGs, Projects and Resources. Depending on the options that your administrator has set, this can generate and release billing event items to transfer the time to your financial system for invoicing.

Notes
Your system administrator can change week start and ending days on the enhanced timecard user interface. If this occurs, a Timecard entered for a week ending date that is now a different day might not be available for editing or display.
To be able to submit, approve or reject timecards, your administrator must have set up an approval process. For further information, see "Setting up Workflow and Approval Processes".

Assignment Daily Notes

PSA records when assignment daily notes are created, deleted or modified and the person that made the change. The information is recorded in the Last Modified Date/Time and Last Modified By data on the assignment. If you have permissions to do so, this allows you to create workflows that provide email notifications when users enter assignment daily notes or modify them.
