Setting up Services Forecasting

Enhanced Services Forecasting

1. Check the forecasting settings in the Forecast Settings custom settings are appropriate for your organization. For further information, see Forecast Settings.
2. Ensure that each RPGAbbreviation of region, practice, group. or project to be included in forecasting has the correct owner set and that the Include In Forecasting checkbox is selected.
3. Ensure that each opportunity to be included in forecasting has the Is Services Opportunity checkbox selected.
4. If your organization uses Forecast Curve Calculations, create a Forecasts Curve tab.
5. If your organization uses Forecast Curve Calculations, add a Forecast Curve Detail related list to the Forecast Curve page layout.

Classic Services Forecasting

To set up classic services forecasting for your organization:

1. Check the forecasting settings in the Forecasting configuration groupA collection of configuration options contained in the configuration groups tab that defines behavior of a FinancialForce PSA object or feature. are appropriate for your organization. For further information, see Forecasts Settings.
2. Ensure that each RPGAbbreviation of region, practice, group. or project to be included in forecasting has the correct owner set and that the Include In Forecasting checkbox is selected.
3. Ensure that the users who are to carry out forecasting activities have appropriate Forecast Edit and Forecast View permission controls. To understand default access for RPG owners and Project Managers, see Services Forecasting Permissions Overview.
