Project Planning Methodologies
To plan a project in PSA, you can use top-down or task-based planning, a combination of both, or add tasks from a project template.
Methodology | Description | More Information |
---|---|---|
Top-Down Planning | In top-down planning, you set overall project objectives and the methods to achieve them, and then set assignments, resource requests and tasks for lower levels of the organizational hierarchy. | |
Task-Based Planning |
In task-based planning, you plan tasks first and involve the resources who will be performing the tasks. You then create resource requests and assignments to form the overall project objectives. |
Bottom-Up Planning |
Add Project Tasks From a Template | You can copy all project tasks from a project template to your current project. This maintains the existing hierarchy and project task dependencies. | Adding Project Tasks from a Template |
