Deleting Tasks

To delete project tasksA unit of work or collection of work associated with a project. or checkpointZero day task record, which is used to represent an event in the project such as a key decision, completion of a work package, completion of a deliverable or end of a phase. Checkpoint tasks have no relationship with PSA milestones. tasks:

  1. Select the tasks that you want to delete in the Tasks pane or the Schedule pane.
    Tip
    To select more than one task, hold down the CTRL or Command key while clicking a task in the Tasks pane or the Schedule pane.
  2. Right-click the selected tasks.
  3. Click Delete Tasks.
  4. Click Save.
    Warnings
    In Project Task Gantt child tasks are also deleted. If the task is a parent task, all the tasks below it in the hierarchy will be deleted.
    When you delete a project task, any time entered on the Time Entry page against that task is also deleted.
    Depending on the value of the "DeleteProjectTasksWithProject" configuration option, when you delete a parent project all of the project tasks in the project task hierarchy are deleted as well.
